Training Packages for Candidates Who are New to the Electrical Industry

Our Training Package has been developed to equip candidates with the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the Electrical Industry. The Package of qualifications leads to achievement at LEVEL 3. The Training Package is delivered in five weeks and is split into five standalone Units, giving our customers the choice and flexibility to book only the Units they require or the whole Package. There are units you can self study at your own pace and will be given back up by the assessors by email. You will be assessed at every stage of the course to ensure that you are ready to progress to the next step. This Package incorporates some of the new EAL qualifications, so you can be confident that what you learn and achieve with us is current and can be used in the electrical industry.

Unit 1 BASIC DOMESTIC ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION TRAINING
This Unit has been designed specifically to give Candidates a good grounding in the practical skills required by an Electrician in their day to day activities as a Domestic Electrical Installer. This Unit is delivered in 5 days and upon completion we will award you an In-house Certificate. This Unit prepares Candidates for Unit 2.

Unit 2 EAL  L2 Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers
This is a practical and theory (classroom based) Unit which covers Domestic Electrical Installation. This Unit is delivered in 10 days. Successful completion of this Unit results in the EAL LEVEL 2 Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers Qualification. This Unit prepares Candidates for Unit 3.

Unit 3 IET Wiring Regulations 17th Edition Amendment 1 BS7671: June 2008
This is a theory (classroom based) Unit and focuses on the knowledge required for the following essential qualifications. This Unit is delivered in 5 days. Successful completion of this Unit results in the EAL Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2008. This Unit provides Candidates with essential knowledge for Unit 4.

Unit 4 TEST & INSPECTION OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS
This is a theory (classroom based) and practical Unit and focuses on the knowledge and skills required for the following essential qualification.   EAL Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations

Unit 5 EAL Level 3 Certificate in Installing, Testing and Ensuring Compliance of Electrical Installations in Dwellings.
This is both theory and practical based in the centres workshop and requires working with and being assessed in the workplace, completing a portfolio of actual work. Candidates who complete this Unit will be awarded the  EAL Level 3 Certificate in Installing, Testing and Ensuring Compliance of Electrical Installations in Dwellings and can then assist in progression to becoming a Qualified Supervisor.
